ADDS 2023 - Event Participant Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions (“Terms”), apply to all Participants at the AD Design Show 2023 (“Event”) (in each case as defined below). Your registration for the Event indicates your agreement to these Terms.
1. Definitions
In these Terms the following capitalised words and expressions have the meanings set out against them below:
“We/us/our/CNI” - Conde Nast India Private Limited
“Data Protection Laws” - any applicable laws and regulations relating to the processing, privacy and use of personal data in India
“Event” - AD Design Show 2023
“Event Confirmation” - our written (including digital) confirmation of your registration for an invite at the Event
“Event Dates” - the dates on which the Event is scheduled to take place i.e. September 15th, 16th and 17th, 2023.
“Event Marks” - trademarks and service marks owned by or licensed to CNI relating to the Event.
“Event Venue” - Pavilion 1, Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai .
“Participant/You/Your” - an individual who attends an Event in any capacity.
“Registration Details” - data provided by Participants when they register to attend the Event.
2. Registration for Events
2.1 Validly registering for the Event at http://adds2023.experiencesense.com/ shall entitle you to attend the Event.
2.2 The Registration Details of each Participant must be registered (whether in their personal capacity, or as a representative of a company or other legal entity) with us.
2.3 If you register for an Event as a representative of a company or other organisation you confirm that you have authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of the company or other organisation. 2.4 When registering for an Event, you must provide us with accurate and complete Registration Details. It is your responsibility to inform us of any changes to that information (including, without limitation, your email address) by updating your details on the relevant section of the applicable website or contacting us using the contact information provided to you in any Event Confirmation. 2.5 All registrations for Events are subject to acceptance by CNI at its absolute discretion. 2.6 Event invites are not transferable.
2.7 Each Participant shall: (a) observe the rules, policies and procedures of the Event venue including in relation to health and safety and any reasonable instructions issued by CNI; (b) behave in a respectful, professional and appropriate way that does not breach the applicable laws or regulations or that risks bringing the Event or CNI into disrepute.
2.8 CNI shall have the sole discretion to change the dates of the Event or the Event venue, in which case we shall notify you as soon as reasonably practicable.
3. Data Processing
3.1 In this clause 3, the terms “personal data”, and “processing” shall have the meanings ascribed to them under the applicable laws in India. 3.2 CNI shall: (a) comply with all requirements under the applicable laws in India; and (b) process any personal data which it obtains or holds in relation to a Participant under or in relation to these Terms for carrying out its obligations in relation to the Event and other activities as detailed below. 3.3 We shall use your personal data for the purpose of providing services in relation to Event, including, but not limited to Event registration, communications, Event access, administration (including before, after and during the Event), delegate lists, post Event feedback, quality checks, Participant verification and marketing, research. You hereby accord your consent to us for the above as per the applicable laws in India. You grant consent to us to use and share the personal information provided by you for our business purposes, marketing/research purposes, to provide you with information about our services we consider might interest you, or for the purposes of investigation under good faith and belief that such investigation or disclosure is (a) reasonably necessary to comply with legal process and law enforcement instructions and orders, such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, judicial proceeding, or other legal process served on CNI; (b) helpful to prevent, investigate, or identify possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service; or (c) helpful to protect CNI’s rights, reputation, property, or that of CNI’s users, subsidiaries, or the public. 3.4 For more information about our data protection policy please go to our Privacy Policy at https://www.architecturaldigest.in/privacy%20policy/
4. Limitation of liability
CNI shall not be liable for any claims arising out of or in relation to these Terms. CNI shall not be responsible for any product or service liability of any kind and makes no representation regarding the merchantability or fitness of products thereof.
5. Miscellaneous
None of these terms shall be deemed to constitute a partnership or agency between the Participant and CNI and the Participant shall have no authority to bind CNI in any manner whatsoever.
CNI reserves the right to amend these terms without prior notice to the Participant.
Intellectual Property Rights: The Participant, by posting/ uploading/ submitting content grants CNI a worldwide, nonexclusive, perpetual, unlimited, irrevocable, transferable, and royalty-free licence (with the right to sublicense, to use for all purposes as deemed fit by us including but not limited to by way of commercial exploitation, promotional use etc.,) to store, archive, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, crop, modify, publish, transmit, perform, display, distribute, right to us to copy, prepare derivative works or abridged version of such content in any and all media, improve, remove, retain, add, process, analyse, use and commercialise, in any way now known or in the future discovered, any information you provide, directly or indirectly by submitting, posting or displaying or otherwise making available the content and/or uploading the content on or through the its website or social media handles. We have the sole right to perform the above mentioned activities without any further consent, notice and/or compensation to you or to any third parties.
By attending the Event you acknowledge that photographs and filming may take place at the Event. CNI reserves the right to use these images and films recorded at the Event (which may include your photograph and/or likeness) in any manner as it may deem fit without obtaining any further approval from you or making any payment to you.
These Terms together with the Privacy Policy and the terms and conditions (at https://www.architecturaldigest.in/terms/) state the entire agreement and understanding between you and CNI relating to the Event and supersedes all previous terms, communications and discussions whether written or oral relating to that subject matter. In case of any conflict regarding these terms, the decision of CNI shall be final and binding on you.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the courts in Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
